Billie Ng is a member of the victorious 1966 Thomas Cup team, which won the Thomas Cup in a very hostile home crowd at Senayan Stadium in Jakarta.

In 1959, he was the Malaysian schoolboy singles champion, and in 1960, he won the Singapore Badminton Open Championship.

In 1962, he was member of the Malaysian Team, which became the Asian Badminton Championship (ABC) Team Champion and was the Men’s Singles Runners Up in the same Championship. . In 1963, he was the Selangor Gold Cup Men’s Singles Champion. He was the Johor State Singles and Doubles champion for many years.

He was a member of the Malaysian Badminton team of the 1966 Asian Games and the 1967 SEAP Games. In the 1966 Asian Games, he was a member of the Men’s Badminton team, which won the silver medal in the Team event. In the 4th SEAP Games 1967, held in Bangkok he won a bronze medal in the Men’s Singles event.
